Krzysztof Gorgolewski, postdoctoral fellow at Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences of Leipzig, is one of the main contributors to Nipype, an open-source, community-developed initiative under the umbrella of NiPy (Python), providing a uniform interface to existing neuroimaging software and facilitates interaction between these packages within a single workflow. He delivered a two day tutorial on Nipype divided into 3 parts: (1) General idea behind Nipype, basic Python commands, nipype preprocessing commands; (2) Nipype workflows; (3) The concept of re - use; Nipype parallelization plugins. At the end of the tutorial participants were able to develop simple pipelines for neuroimaging data analysis.
