Short bio

Seyed Mostafa Kia is a PhD candidate of computer science at the University of Trento, Italy. He received his bachelor degree from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad-Iran in computer software engineering. For his bachelor thesis, he worked on implementation of a speaker independent lip synchronization tool by training a neural network for mapping from voice features (MFCC) to lips’ shape. Then, to continue his study, he came to Italy and finished his master in cognitive neuroscience at University of Trento. His master thesis was about hypothesis testing on MEG data with the title of “Mass-Univariate Hypothesis Testing on MEEG Data using Cross-Validation”. Now, he is a member of neuroinformatic laboratory (NILab) as a PhD student and starting his research on MEG data decoding.
