On February 24th, two members of Scientific Advisory Board of FBK, Malik Ghallab from INRIA and Wolfgang Wahlster from DFKI, visit NILab and LNIF. The goal of the visit is to have an overview of the research activities of the laboratory.

The committee of PRNI assigned a travel grant to a selection of best papers accepted after the review process. PRNI-2011 will be held in Seoul, Korea, on 16-18 May 2011.

NILab joined Kore, the computational facility of Fondazione Bruno Kessler. Kore provides more than 500 CPUs for scientific computing.

NILab presented his activities to the VIPS group of the Computer Science Department of the University of Verona. There are common interests on diffusion imaging with Gloria Menegaz, on dissimilarity spaces with Umberto Castellani, on coregistration methods with Andrea Giachetti.

Marco Signoretto visited NILab to establish a collaboration which aims to investigate the use of tensorial kernels for neuroimaging data analysis. The goal is to perform an empirical evaluation of model based on tensorial and cumulant kernels to MEG and fMRI data for brain decoding analysis.

An autumn school on scientific programming in Python was jointly organized by G-Node Berlin, CIMeC and FBK. The event takes place in Trento on October 4th-8th 2010.
